The Problem

Most PMs manage stakeholders by feel. That's a risk, not a strategy.

😬
You find out a senior leader is unhappy after they've already formed an opinion, and shared it upward.
🔥
You're spending disproportionate time on vocal but low-influence stakeholders, while the ones who actually matter go unmanaged.
📋
Your RAID log has names in it, but no strategy. You know who your stakeholders are. You don't know what to do with each one.
😤
A "resistant" stakeholder derails a review because nobody had a plan to bring them along before the room went bad.
The Fix

A structured map turns gut instinct into defensible strategy.

You know exactly which stakeholders need weekly contact, which need monthly briefings, and which just need to be on the distribution list.
You can show your sponsor a stakeholder plan, not a list, that demonstrates you're managing risk, not just relationships.
You catch position shifts early. Power and interest change, and this map is designed to be revisited at every major milestone.
You go into difficult stakeholder conversations with a strategy, not hope. Because winging it isn't a plan.

How It Works

From blank to strategy in under 20 minutes

1

List your stakeholders

Add each person: name, role, attitude. Use the scoring framework to calibrate power and interest honestly, not optimistically.

2

Place them on the grid

Plot each stakeholder by power and interest. The grid assigns quadrants automatically and flags where your high-risk concentrations are.

3

Get your strategy

Click any stakeholder to see their tailored engagement strategy. Export to Excel for your programme plan, sponsor pack, or workshop.

Questions

A few things people ask

What format does it come in?

It's a single HTML file. Open it in any browser, no software installation required. It runs completely in your browser, nothing is sent to a server. The Excel export saves locally to your device.

Does it work offline?

Once downloaded, the tool works offline, though the initial load requires an internet connection to pull in the fonts. Everything else (the grid, export, scoring) is fully browser-based.

Does my data get saved between sessions?

The tool is session-based, meaning your data lives in the browser while you're using it. Export to Excel or print before you close the tab, and you'll have everything saved. A persistent version is on the roadmap.

Can I use it for multiple projects?

Yes, unlimited. One purchase covers every project you run. Start fresh each time, or keep a saved Excel export per programme as your audit trail.

What's included in the Excel export?

Four sheets: a formatted stakeholder roster with all fields and quadrant assignments, a summary with counts and breakdowns by quadrant and attitude, the full engagement strategy guide, and the influence scoring framework.

Is there a refund policy?

Because the tool is delivered digitally and accessible immediately, all purchases are final. If you have a problem accessing or using the template, contact me directly via the About page and I'll sort it.

Ready to map your stakeholders?
